The Aitkin SWCD offers assistance to landowners that are having erosional issues on their landscape. The SWCD can assist with designing erosion-control projects, with a variety of options depending on the scope of the erosional issue. Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) are non-native species that threaten to upend our natural ecosystems by outcompeting native species. The Aitkin County SWCD has partnered with a number of other organizations to educate the public about AIS and slow the spread of invasive species.
