The Aitkin SWCD hosts a number of events throughout the year:
Native Tree, Shrub, and Plant Sales

Looking to plant more native plants on your property? The Aitkin SWCD offers a selection of native trees, shrubs, and plants for sale. This sale usually opens in late fall and runs until sold out, usually in late spring. Orders will be available for pick-up in May. More information can be found by clicking these links: Plants | Trees & Shrubs
Note: Our trees and plants can sell out quickly! If ordering in the spring, please contact our office to ensure that the species you would like are still available.
Rivers & Lakes Fair (RaLF)
The Rivers & Lakes Fair is a free, annual fair with information about natural resources and educational activities for both adults and kids. Prior years have included presentations from the U of M’s Raptor Center, the Science Museum of Minnesota, the DNR, the Great Lakes Aquarium, and more! Now in its 23rd year, the Rivers and Lakes Fair will be held at Long Lake Conservation Center on June 18th, 2022. Click here for more information about the fair.
